  • Mental Health Association in New Jersey - This is a nonprofit, statewide organization that provides education, support services, and advocacy for people in New Jersey with mental illness. This site contains information about their programs and contact information for reaching legislators and policymakers.

  • National Alliance for the Mentally Ill - NAMI is a national organization that provides education, support, and advocacy for people affected by mental illness. Their Web site contains information about their services and contact information about local chapters and support groups.

  • New Jersey Association of Mental Health Agencies - This is a trade organization for mental health providers in New Jersey. Besides a list of its member agencies and a link to their charitable organization, the New Jersey Mental Health Institute, this site contains an extensive list of resources for people affected by mental illness.

  • Psychiatric Advance Directives - This searchable online site is a clearinghouse for information about states’ psychiatric advance directives. It was developed by Duke University Medical Center and the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law.
